Chinese state-owned utility Beijing Jingneng has revealed that it will spend CNY23 billion (US$3 billion) on a 5GW hybrid solar, wind, hydrogen and storage facility in northern China. The plans were revealed on Friday by Chinese digital outlet The Paper.
It is understood that on July 27, 2022, Jingneng Group will accelerate the planning and construction of the "10 million kilowatts green power base in Beijing" project in Xilin Gol League, and fully promote the national-level wind-solar-fire-hydrogen storage integration demonstration project of Chagannur Power Plant building.
As the main battlefield for the future construction of "10 million kilowatts of green power into Beijing base", Jingneng Group has built and is under construction in Xilin Gol League with a total installed capacity of 2.64 million kilowatts of coal power, and a total installed capacity of wind power and photovoltaics of 2 million kilowatts.
